Being A Good Neighbor - Parking

One of the biggest complaints Off-Campus Student Services receives from our neighbors is parking. Below are some tips to help you maintain positive neighborly relations.

✅ Check with your local community organizations to see if there are rules about parking.

It is not uncommon for neighborhood groups or homeowners' associations to have rules about when and where you can leave vehicles. It’s always a good idea to check with these groups as soon as you move in.

✅ Avoid blocking driveways.

Even if it’s late at night, your neighbors may need to leave their home.

✅ Avoid parking on the grass.

Parking on the grass can damage underground lines, like landscaping sprinklers. Also, most leases in single-family homes require you to maintain all landscaping. Parking on the grass can cause significant damage to lawns.
